This privacy notice sets out how That Prize Guy complies with UK GDPR requirements. This applies to the entire website and social media platforms and any postal entries to our competitions. Any changes to these policies will be posted on this website.
What information do you collect about me?
The website is structured so that, in general, you can visit without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. Once you choose to provide us with any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will be held securely and used in accordance with this privacy notice. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
When using our services we may collect the following types of information, some of which is considered personal data:
- Your name, email address, contact number, financial information to pay a prize, this will include your sort code and account number and is different to the financial details you provide to enter our competitions.
- If you enter via our free entry route, or win free entry to a competition, we may process your name, contact details, date of birth and contact number.
- If you win a prize, we will also require a copy of a government issued photo identification, for example, drivers’ licence, passport etc.
- If you win a prize, with your consent, we may process your image, voice (and any other information that identifies you) in any footage that will be published by us online.

- Demographic information such as post code, preferences and interests;

For users that register on our website we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile (includes your username and password). All users can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your login email address). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Live Draws
We may use a live stream on our social media platforms to choose the winner of our competitions. To do this we use a google number generator to select a random number to pick the winner. For those that entered the competition, their usernames will appear within this live stream. If you wish to not ensure that none of your personal data appears in the live stream you should choose a username that has no information that may identify you. You can change your username at any time.
Should you wish to follow our live draws on our social media platforms, you should be aware that other individuals who have also joined the live draw will see your social media display name and will be able to read any comments you may make. That Prize Guy does not store any data from these interactions. For more information you should refer to the Privacy Policy relating to the relevant social media platform.
How and why do you use my personal data?
This information is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, to enter, take part and pay any prizes due as part of that prize draw or competition. This information will be held until you request to have your data erased. Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services or to enter you into a competition). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us. We will notify you if this is the case at the time.
